Race both sides of the Bay

To Qualify:

  • Run any distance of the San Francisco Marathon
  • Run any distance of the Berkeley Half Marathon

Rewards:

Challenge medal received at the second race

  • Runners must register for both the SF Marathon & Berkeley Half Marathon events with the same first and last name and date of birth to be automatically qualified.
  • If you already qualified at the 2025 Berkeley Half Marathon, your challenge starts again!

How to pick up your SF/Berkeley Challenge Medal

Check your Bib for the SF/Berkeley Challenge stamp, this is the ticket to pick up your medal at the expo. If your bib is not stamped, please visit the Solutions Table at the Expo.

  • Medals to be picked up at the challenge tables at the Expo (or the Finish Line Festival in the Embarcadero for those with Bib Delivery)
  • Please note that Medals will not be mailed for any reason.
  • All in-person distances qualify excluding the Family 1K and virtual.
